A. Account & Profile Data

When you sign up via email or authentication providers, we store your email address, chosen display name, role designation (Student, Lister, or Admin), and profile preferences.

B. Listing & Business Information

If you post a listing (Stay, Marketplace, Tiffin, or Services), we collect listing details such as titles, descriptions, pricing, locality/city, photographs, and contact phone numbers provided for student inquiries.

C. Inquiries & Contact Records

When an authenticated user requests a listing owner's contact details or initiates an inquiry, we log the inquiry metadata to monitor contact rate limits and detect spam abuse.

D. Advertiser Leads

When a commercial partner submits an advertising inquiry via our Advertise page, we record business name, contact name, email, phone, business category, target markets, budget range, and submitted message.

E. Payment & Ledger Metadata

When platform listing publication fees are processed, we store payment ledger metadata including transaction IDs, order IDs, timestamps, amounts, and plan associations. We do not collect or store full credit card numbers or banking passwords; all payment operations are handled by regulated payment aggregators.

F. Security & Audit Logs

For platform integrity, rate limiting, and fraud prevention, we automatically record IP addresses, user agent headers, timestamps, and moderation action histories in our server audit logs.

No Aadhaar or Biometric Collection: CampusGhar does NOT collect, request, verify, or store Aadhaar numbers, biometric data, or government national identity numbers in its MVP release.

• Public Listings: Information you explicitly include in a published listing (such as description, location hub, and contact phone number) is visible to students browsing the directory.

• No Advertiser Data Sale: We do NOT sell user contact lists or browsing behavior to third-party commercial advertisers or data brokers.

• Infrastructure Service Providers: We use service providers for database hosting, application hosting, and—only when checkout is enabled—payment processing.

• Legal Compliance: We may disclose data when strictly required by applicable Indian law, court order, or formal request by law enforcement authorities.

We retain user account records and active listings for as long as your account is operational. If you request account closure or listing removal, we unpublish the public data while retaining server audit and transaction records for the duration required by applicable financial and accounting laws in India. We employ SSL/TLS encryption, Row-Level Security (RLS) policies at the database layer, and strict access controls to safeguard your data.
